Advanced Design
The prototype shop at the Aerostructures Group is capable of fabricating one of a kind and limited production run flightworthy aerospace hardware. The advanced technology lab in Chula Vista contains specialized equipment for fabricating high temperature bonded and brazed metallic structures. The Riverside lab is experienced in fabricating advanced composite laminate and sandwich structures. Both labs are staffed with skilled personnel experienced in working with the research engineers to achieve a superior product or develop an improved process.

The Aerostructures Group has supplied structural components for both advanced tactical fighters (YF-22 and YF-23) and for both the joint strike fighter prototypes. (X-32 and X-35)
