At bottom left is a limited production ejector nozzle fabricated by the R&D organization for use by Lockheed on the U-2. These parts were made using 360ƒ SPF forming. At bottom right is an example of how applying the GRID-LOCK® manufacturing process to an AV-8 Harrier bulkhead saved numerous detail parts over the original design shown on the left. This part is currently in production.

The Aerostructures Group has provided many different customers with prototype hardware as part of demonstration programs; most notable are the two ATF concepts (YF-22 & YF-23) and the two JSF concepts (X-32 & X-35). Nozzle and engine bay titanium structures are highlighted to the left and below. A nozzle trailing edge for the YF-23 is shown below left and an engine bay door for the YF-22 is shown below. The Aerostructures Group is fabricating titanium skin panels and other components on the JSF prototypes. The engine bay doors for the F-22A are currently in production.
